Hatch Huggers SL, Secure Your Bike Rack With Added Customization

Cumbersome to use on my 2026 BMW X1. You have to disengage the strap with the attached hatch hugger from the rack, feed it through from the inside and reinsert into the clasp/clamp all while holding the rack as you are doing this. Similarly, the bottom straps must be disengaged, laid on the interior deck. The hatch needs to be closed and the straps re engaged. Surely their engineers can come up with a better solution for hatchbacks with plastic spoilers.

They work well with my Forester which is what I needed.

i don't understand the need for this

Too hard to use on side supports, so took them off and decided to risk my paint being marred. Used the old lid style hatch hugger on the top as they seemed like they would do less damage to the interior of my car as they are softer. I leave in my trip tomorrow and gave my fingers crossed.

These are a well made product that perform as intended. My Bones rack has been hanging on the rear of my Renegade and toting bikes with no issues.
