Passo Giau is a high mountain pass located in the Italian province of Belluno. There are many popular routes that include Passo Giau’s maximum elevation of 2,233 meters. The beauty of this high mountain pass can be admired year-round as it is open 365 days a year – yes, even in the winter! The windy, serpentine roads are clearly laid out with excellent views, good road surface and fun uphills. Three quarters of the way through the ride, you’ll reach the timber line and the view opens up to the Croda da Lago Mountains, surrounded by meadows. This area of Dolomites is incredible not only for its scenery, but also its simplicity as it is easy to reach many mountain passes in one day.
