I needed a hitch to support a new e-assist bike weighing 53# and after watching various reviews on youtube I decided on the MHS system. It is extremely well built, sturdy, and easily handles this bike. I compared it to another rack for less money and there simply was no comparison. Plus the fact it is manufactured in Wisconsin helped my decision that no tariffs would be added to the cost. Saris for the win, hands down.

I used to have the previous MHS bike rack and I took it to the store for the guarantee and the factory sent me the new version of the MHS bike rack. This new bike rack is extremely stable when traveling on the freeway. The bike does not move at all.

The majority of the product itself is high quality and 5 starts but mine came with a broken wheel lock. The wheel lock is plastic and the part that slides into the base where the screw goes in was broken in the bag it came in. I emailed Saris customer support with pics right away but never heard back. I decided to call them about a week later and spoke with a person there who said they never got my email. I tried sending pics to them while on the call but apparently my email was not going through. Anyway they said the wheel lock was on back order and they would contact me when back in stock. I asked if they could just put one on order for me so it could be sent to me once in stock but was told they could not do that until it came in. They said they would call me when back in stock. That was in August and it's now October and I still haven't heard anything. I ended up gluing the wheel lock to the base and it is holding fine so far.It's not a cheap rack and I was willing to pay for quality but too bad the experience with CS cheapens the product and lowers credibility of the brand. It's a 5-star product with 1-star CS.

This is a great rack. Does most everything you want. I just wish there were other security measures implemented in it. Like longer locks secondary lock systems alarm lock systems and all kinds of things like that. The weight is not bad at all. I did like the prior design that folded back into the bumper and was flush with it. I miss that. But you will not be disappointed. These are some of the best rack systems out there.
